Oral Cancer Screening
Traditionally the only way to screen for oral cancer was by visual inspection of the mouth. A major draw back to this method is that oral cancer typically develops below oral tissue in places that the human eye cannot detect. Once the cancer has developed to a point that it is visually noticeable, drastic surgery or death can results. With the FDA approved ViziLite we are able to detect cancer or pre-cancerous cells below the surface of oral tissue. There is a 90% success rate of removing the cancer if it is caught at a juvenile stage.
